A FISTFUL OF PAINTINGS

Dear Cowboys and Aliens,

This is a collection of images from a small show I did in Hong Kong back in 2009. I was doing a series of black, red and white paintings inspired by the FISTFUL OF BLOOD graphic novel by Kevin Eastman and Simon Bisley. This was in the thick of trying to attain funding for the feature film and I wanted to keep forward motion so anything I got in my hands was dedicated to the property.

There was a small unpromoted show at a gallery I can't even remember the name of in Central, HK. The images are courtesy of Shann Larsson who was assisting me on most every project I did back there. She's a brilliant dark artist who's come into her own now -you can find her and her continued adventures on Facbook.

PAINTINGS:

1) Blondie Batta Foom
2) Batta Foom
3) Batta Foom Batta Foom
4) Blamm!

The medium was predominantly emulsion on wooden track palletes that I had procured from the harbour docks at night. The loft I built was sandwiched inbetween the Harbour front and the mountain side in an old factory building. The best location I had geographically while I was in HK nearly became tomb in more ways than one and I don't often miss it but as you can see I also received an able bodied assist from my 3 year old son Tommee  Sherpa Mesch and I certainly miss him.

They are all in different cities across the world now. Scotland, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Hong Kong. I sold 1 of them and gave the other 3 to special people.
